Easy Vegan Spelt Bread

DSC05323.JPG

This recipe is by far the easiest bread you’ll ever make. You don’t need any fancy kitchen appliances or gadgets - simply an oven and mixing bowl will suffice.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spelt flour

  • 1 tsp dry yeast (or 1 sachet)

  • 1 tbs each - nigella seeds, buckwheat kernels, chia seeds (can sub with any seeds you have on hand)

  • 1 cup warm water

Method

Combine all the ingredients into a bowl and slowly add in the warm water while stirring.

Once a dough is formed, let the mixture rest for 40mins to an hour.

Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.

Spoon the mixture into a lined loaf tin and bake for 40 mins or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre of the loaf.

Allow the loaf to cool before slicing. Store in an airtight container and keep for up to a week.
