Choc-Berry Oat Bake

DSC04618.JPG

Of all my recipes, my Choc-Berry Oat Bake is the one I get asked about the MOST. Packed full of nutrition and naturally sweet from the bananas. It’s super quick and simple to make and suuuuper tasty. It tastes great cold, too, making it a convenient on-the-go meal.

Ingredients

  • 6 ripe bananas

  • 6 tbs ground flaxseed

  • 6 tbs cacao powder

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 6 cups rolled oats

  • 500g frozen berries

Method

Preheat oven to 220°C.

Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl.

Add the flaxseeds, cacao powder and cinnamon and mix until well combined.

Fold in the rolled oats, followed by the frozen berries.

Add the mixture to a large oven-proof dish and press mixture flat with the mixing spoon.

Bake for 25 minutes or until crispy at the top.

Once cooled, slice into 6 even slices and store in an airtight container for up to a week.
