Sugar-Free Granola

DSC05573.JPG

Reducing the amount of sugar in your diet is a great step forward in terms of your health. My sugar-free granola uses ripe bananas to sweeten and bind the ingredients together. It can be enjoyed over your favourite yogurt, smoothie bowl or as a wholesome nutritious snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats

  • 1 cup buckwheat

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds

  • 1/4 cup cacao nibs

  • 1/4 cup macadamia nuts

  • 1/4 cup goji berries

  • 2 ripe bananas

Method

In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients together.

In a smaller bowl, mash the bananas into a smooth consistency and pour over the granola mixture.

Fold through thoroughly and then transfer the mixture into a dehydrator tray.

Dehydrate overnight at 70 degrees C.

Spoon over yogurt or smoothie bowls and store the remainder in an airtight container.
